Makara Sankranthi /Pongal Celebrations

Anjana Vidya Kendra had a grand and traditional celebration on the occasion of Makara Sankrathi. Children celebrated the harvest festival by cooking fresh rice in a new earthen pot, using firewood. Each grade had its own fireplace.  Sweet Pongal was distributed to children, parents and the visitors to the school. The cows and the calves were washed, decorated and were fed with jaggery, coconuts and bananas.
